Breast Reduction - What Are The Options Available To You?

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Even though big breasts are perceived as a blessing, for many women all around the world they are a curse.

Having oversized breasts can lead to all sorts of problems, both health related and appearance related. Oversized breasts can cause severe neck and back pain and injuries as they are basically hanging weights attached to your chest. Big breasts can also destroy your appearance as they tend to sag and even appear deflated. This usually happens in your late 20’s or early 30’s as your breasts weight overpowers what chest muscles you have. Having big breasts can also interfere with finding suitable and complimentary clothes. Many women with oversized breasts can only dream about walking on the beach in a bikini, and even finding a simple shirt can be a tasking chore, as you have to accommodate your breasts and end up with a sack-like shirt.

If you want to have your breasts reduced you have a number of options:

1. Go on a diet - If you are overweight, your breasts are likely heavier than they should be too. If you go on a diet, you may see some improvement in the size and weight of your breasts. You should be aware that this will help you only if your breasts aren’t too large for your body. This is because when you go on a diet you lose weight all over your body and not specifically in one area of your body more than others.

2. Breast Reduction surgery - This is a plastic surgery in which a liposuction is performed to remove some of the fat from your breasts. After the liposuction the surgeon will reshape your breasts so they appear firmer and upthrusting. The main difficulties with surgery are it’s very high cost and the many risks involved.

3. Breast Reduction Pills - There are certain natural supplements which reduce the quantity and size of fat cells in your breasts. They usually require a few months of daily dosage to achieve your optimal results. Many women have reported excellent results with these pills, the prominent one is called Alexia.

Having your breasts reduced is a big decision, but it can improve your life. I wish you success in your efforts to have your breasts reduced.

Premature Ejaculation, How Quick Is Too Quick?

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Many men around the world ask themselves this question every time they have sex with their partners and feel an uncomfortable sensation of guilt after looking at her disappointment for the short sexual encounter they have just had, a situation that inevitable leads them to the sad conclusion that maybe they indeed are “too quick”.

Masters and Johnson have stated that a man ejaculates too quick if he does it before his partner achieves orgasm in more than fifty percent of his sexual encounters. Other sex researchers consider an early ejaculation the one occurring within two minutes of penetration, though there are some discrepancies on this timing. This condition of “quick ejaculation” is what is called Premature Ejaculation and in the US the prevalence rate in American males is estimated to range from 30-70%.

Premature Ejaculation is believed to be a psychological problem and does not represent any known organic disease involving the male reproductive tract or any known lesions in the brain or nervous system. In short, PE is not a physiological problem or disease, though it manifests physiologically by considering the organ systems directly affected , this is the male reproductive tract.

Apart from the dissatisfaction in the sexual life of the partners and the stress this situation brings to the relation, if ejaculation continually occurs so early that it happens before commencement of sexual intercourse, as it does in grave cases of premature ejaculation, and the couple is attempting pregnancy, then pregnancy is impossible to achieve unless artificial insemination is used.

Many men think this is a hopeless situation, but that’s far from being true. There is cure for premature ejaculation and this can be achieved in a few weeks by treating the origin of the illness, this is the mind of the individual and by having the patience and discipline for following the correct techniques that will led to the total cure of the condition and the regaining of a healthy and satisfactory sexual life for both partners.

Natan Young is an expert author in a number of health themes affecting both men and women. If you or someone near you suffers from Premature Ejaculation problems you should know that this is a curable condition

Skin Care Products: What Haven’t I Used?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

Am I a Skin Care Product Junkie? Or Just too Much of a True Consumer to Settle on One Product?

This is a personal story of the myriad of skin care products I’ve tried. Which products disappointed and which ones delivered. Furthermore, which skin care products over delivered? With the thousands of skin products on the market today, all promising to do one thing or another for your skin, from making you look 20 years old again to erasing acne in days, it’s really tough to know when you’re wasting your money. And yet, we all do it! Read on for a true skin care product junkie’s confessions…

Let’s see, where to start. I guess we’ll start with my latest little discovery. The home microdermabrasion kit. Now mind you, I’ve had the real thing done about two years ago for some old acne scarring still left over from my younger acne-ridden days and I absolutely loved the way it made my skin look and feel. Now, the home microdermabrasion kits claim that they can produce very similar results to the real aesthetician administered procedure.

Not to disappoint you too quickly, but they cannot simulate this effect. They do work, and they do add a nice freshly scrubbed look to your face, and clean away a lot of dull dry skin to reveal newer skin, but they do not have the same dramatic effects as real microdermabrasion does.

I will continue to use my home microderm kit though, because I like the fact that I can do it in the comfort of my own home, and for a fraction of the cost of the real office procedure. I also like the frequency it allows me to administer the treatment. There’s no way I could afford the time to visit a doc’s office once a week, nor would I want to squander that much money away!

Now, onto another skin care product I’ve purchased and tried. I purchased Dr. Varon’s liquid mild acid peel kit and tried it approximately ten times. This kit is another home system that advertises as an effective alternative to a popular dermatologist or aesthestician administered skin care treatment, the glycolic acid peel, only it is in a much more diluted version due to OTC regulation.

After several uses, I examined my face several times, very closely mind you, and call me crazy, but I just didn’t see any difference. The only thing I noticed was that my face got mildly irritated and seemed drier and to flake more. Perhaps this was the idea? My skin has always been a little sensitive, so maybe this is not a fair nor “accurate for all” assessment of the home facial peel, but my experience was less than impressive. But of course I will be trying it again - this time probably a higher end, online brand.

Now, onto the next product. The next product I felt certain would take my crows feet away in seconds as shown in the persuasive infomercials I was so gullible to watch for twenty full minutes. The before and after live shots of a fifty- something woman applying this gel to her eyes were nothing short of miraculous! Barely able to contain my excitement for this new “fountain of youth” product, I picked up my phone and frantically dialed the Home Shopping Network number, anxiously awaiting my “special limited time price” since I had acted so fast.

The shipment came in about four days. I opened the first package. Let me explain what this product was before I tell you how it worked. It was primarily made up of hyaluronic acid and another substance whose name escapes me now, but both of the primary ingredients were “skin swellers”. What do I mean by skin swellers?

Skin care product ingredients whose main purpose is to temporarily swell the skin out. The key word is “temporary” here. It did work, and it worked for about two hours, but to my dismay, when I looked in the mirror later on that day, all of my crows feet were just as deep and pronounced as they were before application.

My miracle fountain of youth hopes were dashed to smitherines! How could I be so gullible? I promised myself I would never again purchase another pricy skin care product. Instead I would only limit myself to special visits to a cosmetic dermatologist or spa to get my “real” skin care treatments. After all, they were the only thing that worked, right?

Well - no, not necessarily. I have had some good experiences, which I would like to share also - in another article perhaps? Just try to be as informed as possible about the ingredients in the skin care products you purchase. That’s the moral of the story. Make sure they have some sort of real merit and therapeutic properties to them over the long haul, and are not just some sort of quick fix.

Possible Theories on the Causes of Autism

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

Autism is a term that refers to a variety of neurological developmental issues, and that affects certain areas of the brain, the ones that are responsible for the language skills, the interaction with others, and many more, depending on each individual. People that suffer from autism are acting differently from each other, and because we know so little about the brain and the way it works it’s hard to understand what causes this affection or what is the best method of treating it.

Most of the doctors are convinced that the causes of autism are genetic and are located in the brain only, because many tests were performed on autistic persons, and their organisms are identical to the organisms of normal persons, so everything that has to do with this condition is in the brain.

In the beginning, when autism was first discovered in 1943 and there were very few cases that could be studied, people thought that autism was caused by parents who raised their children wrong, did not show them love and treated them bad, but this conception was proved to be wrong soon. However, nobody discovered a certain cause of autism until this day, so the reason why autistic persons are different is unknown. There are some theories about what could be causing the disorder but nothing is certain.

Recent research has linked chromosomes with autism, and they may be guilty of something because in many other affections of the brain, like the down syndrome, chromosome anomalies are the cause. But if you compare the genes of an autistic with the genes of a normal person you aren’t going to see any difference, so it can’t be said that a certain gene or chromosome is guilty.

A large number of scientists also believe that some children are born with some anomalies and predispositions in their genes, and these combined with several environmental factors cause autism to appear. Probably not a single gene is not normal, but more of them are slightly different and when the environmental factors appear too, a ‘button’ is pushed and the disability appears.

Other theories suggest that a severe emotional trauma may affect the brain so much that the victim withdraws from society and other people.

Until the future comes and medical science evolves to the point where the causes of autism are certain, we can only suppose why it appears. Unfortunately, because we don’t know the causes we also don’t know how it can be cured. For now, we can only hope, and help the autisics as much as we can.

Does Salt Matter Your Heart Health?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

We add salt into our food to make it tasty. Occasionally, we also put salt into our mouth if we have ulcer because it can make the ulcer healed faster. In older time when we do not have refrigerator, salt was used to preserve our food for longer period of time.

Salt, also known as sodium chloride, is a mineral that is needed by our body everyday. Our body requires a certain amount of salt to regulate our blood circulation and balance the tissue fluids which transport oxygen and nutrients to various parts of our body. Salt also helps the electrical charges to move in and out of our cells, allowing our body to control tactile processes like taste and smell. It is also essential for the contraction of muscle, particularly the heart muscle.

It seems that salt is one thing that we cannot live without. However, our body needs only 1 teaspoonful or 6g of salt daily while the amount consumed by most people is well above the minimum required level. The excessive salt will harm our body in the long run.

For example, high intake of salt can cause the body to retain excessive water which will raise the blood volume. This ultimately will lead to hypertension, a risk factor for heart disease. The additional strain on the heart because of a larger volume of fluid passing through it is also likely to increase the risk of coronary heart disease.

Although excessive amount of salt can be removed from the body through kidneys into urine, water retention will actually create problem to kidney later on. Excessive salt intake will increase the amount of calcium excreted in the urine which will bring about osteoporosis and increased risk of fractures. Research also showed that chances of stomach cancer will be higher because excessive salt induces atrophic gastritis which is a symptom of the cancer.

Only fresh and unprocessed food contains little or no sodium at all. 75 percent of our salt consumption is actually hidden in processed food.

In order to assess salt content of groceries, one should look for amount of salt or sodium per 100g. Too much salt is expected if there is more than 1.25g salt per 100g or more than 0.5g sodium per 100g. Food that has between 0.25g and 1.25g of salt (or between 0.1g and 0.5g of sodium) per 100g is acceptable. The best is to get those with labels that read “no salt added”.

However, it may be difficult to know the amount of salt that is added in foods found in cafes, restaurants, eating houses, fast foods stalls, etc. It thus makes sense that one should consider eating more food that is prepared at home where the amount of salt added into the food can be controlled.

Hiring a Personal Trainer - Is It Really Worth the Money?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

I recently had an interesting conversation with a friend of mine. We were talking about my training business, and inevitably hourly rates were discussed. A local gym franchises "personal training" rates were mentioned; the figure of $60 and hour comes to mind. His comment to me was "That’s a lot of money just to look good". This got me thinking about a couple things, namely the perception of value within the training industry, and also the perception that the only reason to "workout" is to "look good".

So is a $60 an hour training rate a lot of money? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on who is doing the training. For someone to stand next to you during a workout and count reps while he talks on the cell phone - Yes. For someone to shout in your ear "you can do it, come on, one more rep" - Yes. Unfortunately there is far too much of that in the business.

The second part of his objection actually annoyed me a bit. Do people hire personal trainers so they can look good? Absolutely! Is looking good a common goal of those who start working out on their own? I am sure it is. Is that the primary reason I train clients? - I can say absolutely truthfully that it is not. This isn’t why I train myself either. I view it as more of a beneficial side effect - a happy coincidence.

So why do I workout and why do I pass that knowledge on to others? There are a variety of reasons, but they generally fall into two categories; performance, and health.

Performance - This can mean different things to different people. The athlete wants to be able to run faster, jump higher, and have more endurance in the sport setting. A person in the general population may want to walk a few flights of stairs without getting winded, throw a ball around with his kids without getting sore, or even get out of bed in the morning without the aches and pains.

Health - This affects both the athlete as well as average folks, and it covers a wide range of disciplines; nutrition, joint function, body composition and disease prevention, just to name a few. A well rounded trainer will be able to either address these issues when in his scope of practice, or make the proper referral to other professionals when this is indicated.

So is hiring a trainer worth it? Cost aside, what is the value of hiring a trainer or physical preparation consultant? I would suggest a good trainer will:

Take the time to get to know the prospective client before entering into a training relationship with them. Let’s face it, no one gets along with everybody. Both parties should make sure they are compatible and comfortable with each other before the training begins. This can save a lot of frustration for both sides.Take a complete history of the client, including medical history and background, training history, lifestyle and eating questionnaires, plus a motivation and goal worksheet. The more information that can be gathered the greater the chance for a successful outcome.Perform a complete physical assessment of the client, to include but not limited to - Posture, gait, flexibility, and fitness analysis.Communicate with the client and encourage input into program design and implementation. Yes, an individual is hiring a trainer for his expertise, but not many people like being dictated to and micro-managed. Give and take between trainer and client helps the trainer know better what is and isn’t working, and keeps the client engaged and active in the entire process.Design programs with each individual client in mind - personalization. This is the point of all the assessment work; to evaluate strengths and weaknesses, and address these with the proper training. This does not always mean getting the client stronger, often times joint function and flexibility needs to be addressed first. Starting off every client with the same canned program is a recipe for failure.Constantly reassess and seek improvement. In the client - a good trainer evaluates every rep of every set. Reassessments must be done on a regular basis in order to gauge improvement and adjust training. In the trainer - a good trainer is constantly seeking to improve his skill set and be more valuable to the client. The bottom line is value vs. cost. If a trainer is in tune with his client and getting results, cost is not an issue. My goal is to never need to market my services; to be such a good trainer that I have to turn business away.

Hope for Anxiety Disorder Sufferers

Monday, November 28th, 2005

As an anxiety disorder sufferer I used to think I was the only one suffering from this thing. I did not even knew what was wrong with me at the time but I never gave up hope in finding out what was wrong and finding the cure.

I remember the nights praying just for a little relief. I used to think that if all I had was a little nervousness then I could manage to live with it.

I visited the doctor with my entire anxiety story including my own diagnosis in the form of a letter because I was too scared to talk to the doctor. He gave me a prescription but after four weeks of going from lowest dosage to highest dosage and one suicide attempt on the same pills he gave me I realized that medicine could not possibly cure what I had. My story is one from internal agony to freedom, but despite the causes and the circumstances I want all anxiety disorder sufferers reading this to see beyond their mess that there is hope for them too.

Embarrassment is a natural part of the lifestyle of the anxiety disorder sufferer. Anxiety disorder sufferers know what it’s like to be introduced to someone and only to produce a weak handshake and a nervous grimace of a smile, lips trembling and all. This is only the tip of the iceberg of symptoms, but if I found a way to totally eliminate anxiety disorder from my life then surely the possibility exist for you as well.

I want to make you aware that regardless of what the intelligent scientists and doctors say you can get rid of anxiety disorder for good!

I have personally experienced that the principle of “seek and ye shall find” works, but first one must first conceive in their mind that the possibility (of a cure) exist before they can even begin the journey of finding it.

Today, 2006, there are many testimonies of individuals who have gotten rid of their anxiety disorder more than ever before. So raise yourself up, brush your shoulder off and take the first step towards finding what works for you. It can be a hell of a challenge for some but take the first step towards taking conscious control of your life. Love yourself. You deserve it.

2007 will make three years since I have been totally free from anxiety disorder and I just want to let you know that there is hope for you too. Do not believe anyone who says otherwise.

My passion is helping individuals to beat the odds of what some call impossible. Visit

Hypertension Made Simple and Nutrients Patients Should Follow Levels of During Treatment

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Your doctor may use the technical term hypertension, but it is more commonly called high blood pressure and at least 65 million American adults have high blood pressure. That translates into almost one-third of all American adults, and two thirds of all Americans over the age of 65. Because high blood pressure often has no warning signs or symptoms, it is often called “the silent killer”. High blood pressure is a very dangerous condition. If you don’t treat high blood pressure it can kill you and unfortunately, one-third of the people that have high blood pressure don’t even know it. One important thing to know about high blood pressure is that you can’t cure it. You can only treat high blood pressure with lifestyle changes and medication, and you will need to treat it for the rest of your life.

What is blood pressure? Blood pressure is the amount of force your blood is putting on to the walls of your arteries as it is moved through your body by your heart. Arteries are the blood vessels that carry the oxygen rich blood away from your heart and to all the muscles, organs and tissues in your body.Without this oxygen rich blood, your muscles, organs and tissues would die and eventually, so would you. Blood pressure normally rises and falls throughout the day, and changes heartbeat to heartbeat.

How is blood pressure measured? The test is quick and painless. The doctor or nurse puts a cuff around your upper arm (the technical term for the devices is a sphygmomanometer; pronounced sfig’-mo-ma-nom-e-ter). This device is used to get an actual measurement of the pressure inside your arteries. Your blood pressure measurement is made up of two numbers, one above or before the other. The top or first number which is technically called systolic blood pressure is the pressure in your arteries while your heart contracts during a heart beat. The bottom number is technically called your diastolic blood pressure and it is the pressure in your arteries as your heart relaxes between heart beats.

If you have ever felt your pulse in your wrist or your neck you have felt the differences between your systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The pulse you are feeling is the heart beating, which creates your systolic blood pressure. Between pulses, your heart is relaxing and the measurement of pressure during that time is your diastolic blood pressure.

These two numbers make up what is called your blood pressure reading. For example a blood pressure measurement of 120/80mmHg (that is, millimeters of mercury) means the pressure measured during a heart beat is 120, and measured in between heart beats at 80. This measurement would be expressed verbally as “120 over 80”. Both numbers in the test are important.

Why is high blood pressure dangerous? High blood pressure is dangerous because it makes your heart work too hard, and puts undue stress on your arteries. Having high blood pressure increases your chance of having a heart attack or stroke, (the 1st and 3rd leading causes of death). In fact, every 20mmHg increase in your systolic blood pressure or 10mmHg increase in your diastolic blood pressure DOUBLES your risk of dying from a heart attack or stroke. It also contributes to your chance of developing other conditions such as congestive heart failure, kidney disease and even blindness. High blood pressure is especially dangerous because it often has no warning signs or symptoms. Regardless of age, race, or gender anyone can develop high blood pressure and once it develops, it usually lasts a lifetime. So it is especially important to continue treatment of high blood pressure for a lifetime.

What is high blood pressure? By viewing the table below, you can see that a reading of 140/90 is considered high. If your blood pressure is between 120/80 and 139/89 you are considered prehypertensive. That means you don’t have high blood pressure now, but you are probably going to develop it in the future. You can take steps now by adopting a healthy lifestyle to reduce your risk of developing it in the future.

Blood Pressure Level (mmHg)

Category Systolic Diastolic

Normal Less than 120 and Less than 80

Pre-
hypertension 120-139 or 80-89

High
Blood Pressure

Stage 1
Hypertension 140–159 or 90–99

Stage 2
Hypertension > or = to 160 or > or = to 100

At the age of 55, if you do not have high blood pressure, there is still a 90% chance you will develop it in the future. As you can see, high blood pressure is a disease that most people will develop over their lifetime. Your doctor will make a diagnosis of high blood pressure if the results of your test are high on two separate occasions.

There are two numbers! Which one is the most important? Both numbers are important. But once you are over the age of 50, the top number or systolic blood pressure becomes the more accurate reading for high blood pressure. It is high if it is 140 or above. Diastolic blood pressure does not need to be high for you to have high blood pressure.

When only the top number or systolic blood pressure is high, your doctor calls it “isolated systolic hypertension” or ISH. This is the most common form of high blood pressure in older Americans. You may have ISH and feel fine. As with other kinds of high blood pressure, ISH often has no symptoms or warning signs. Also like any form of high blood pressure ISH is dangerous if left untreated. Like all types of high blood pressure, ISH can never be cured once it has developed, it can only be controlled.

Many studies have proven that controlling high systolic blood pressure can reduce deaths, illness, and improve quality of life; most Americans do not have their systolic blood pressure under control.

Diastolic blood pressure or the bottom number continues to be an important measure of blood pressure, especially in younger people. The higher the diastolic number, the greater the risk of heart attack, strokes, and kidney failure. As people get older, the diastolic blood pressure reading tends to get lower as the systolic number tends to get higher.Your doctor will use both number when determining your blood pressure category and the appropriate prevention and treatment.

What causes high blood pressure? The causes of high blood pressure vary. It may include narrowing or hardening of the arteries, a greater than normal blood volume, or the heart beating faster or more forcefully than it should. Any of these things will increase the pressure against the artery wall. High blood pressure could be caused by another medical condition like gestational hypertension (high blood pressure during pregnancy). Or it may even be limited to a specific part of your body like pulmonary hypertension, but those conditions are rare. By far, the most common cause of hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a genetic predisposition which is called “essential hypertension”.

How is high blood pressure treated? Along with there being a lot of different causes of high blood pressure, there are also a lot of different treatment options for high blood pressure.Your minimum treatment goal is to have your blood pressure below 140/90 and even lower for people with diabetes, kidney disease or other conditions. Adopting a healthy lifestyle is an important factor, however most patients will require medication to control high blood pressure. Many patients need two, three or even four different types of prescription medications at once to control their high blood pressure. Because high blood pressure can be deadly, it is important that patients get and keep blood pressure under control, and monitor it at home as well as with your doctor.

Hypertension, more commonly called high blood pressure, is often referred as “the silent killer” because it often shows no signs or symptoms. In the United States alone, at least65 million American adults have high blood pressure.

There are many different types of blood pressure lowering medications that your doctor may prescribe, however these prescriptions can cause certain nutritional deficiencies that may increase your risk for chronic degenerative diseases. NutraMD High Blood Pressure Essential Nutrients® supplement was designed to work with your blood pressure lowering medications by replacing lost nutrients, reducing the risk of dangerous side effects, and promote better health.

Types of High Blood Pressure Medications
The main categories of blood pressure lowering medications that deplete your nutrients are:
Diuretics (loop, potassium sparing, and thiazide),
ACE inhibitors
Beta blockers
Central alpha agonists.

Why do I need blood pressure medication?
The main reason for your doctor to prescribe blood pressure medicines is because there is clear evidence that any blood pressure reading greater than 115/75 has an increased risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke, and a greater risk of sudden death. This risk increases dramatically with a blood pressure reading above 140/90. The main problem with blood pressure medications as a whole is that they have been found to cause depletion of the following nutrients: Calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, sodium, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), folate, vitamin B1 (thiamin), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), and vitamin C. Calcium, magnesium, potassium, and CoQ10 deficiencies are directly linked to high blood pressure. Therefore reducing their amounts in the body can make it more difficult for your doctor to normalize your blood pressure.

Why are these nutrients important?
* Calcium deficiency is related to osteoporosis, and arthritis.
* Magnesium is responsible for more than 300 chemical reactions in the body.
* Vitamin A deficiency is related to high cholesterol, diabetes, depression, muscle and joint pain, osteoporosis, heart arrhythmias, fatigue, and many more.
* Potassium deficiency is related to heart arrhythmias, and mental disturbances.
* Zinc is responsible for more than 200 chemical reactions in the body. Deficiency of zinc is related to heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, psoriasis, gout, and more.
* CoQ10 deficiency has been linked to the following diseases and symptoms: Congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, rhabdomyolysis (muscle break down), muscle and joint pain, angina (pains in the chest), and fatigue.
* Folate deficiency is directly related to heart disease, cancer, neural tube defects, anemia, and more.
* Vitamin B1 deficiency is related to congestive heart failure, depression, muscle pain, and fatigue.
* Vitamin B6 deficiency is linked with heart disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, PMS, depression, and fatigue.
* Vitamin C deficiency is related to heart disease, high cholesterol, muscle pain, and osteoporosis.

Many of these side nutritional side effects are well known, which is why your doctor may monitor your serum electrolytes (calcium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride) while you are on some of these medications, however, serum electrolyte levels are not good markers for tissue levels of these nutrients and thus do not reliably detect nutritional deficiencies.

Therefore to achieve maximum benefit from the blood pressure medication and minimize potential side effects of nutrient deficiencies, you should compliment your prescription medication by taking NutraMD High Blood Pressure Essential Nutrients® supplement. By doing this you will balance the risk/benefit ratio further in your favor.

In summary, blood pressure lowering medications prescribed by your doctor are necessary to treat your condition, however, you should also be aware that the long term potential nutritional side effects can be just as big a risk factor for your condition and for other conditions as well. Put the odds in your favor and maintain your health with NutraMD High Blood Pressure Essential Nutrients® supplement.

High Blood Pressure Essential Nutrients® supplement are designed for patients taking blood pressure agents such as Lasix (furosemide)or hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) which can deplete levels of Vitamins B1, B6, C, Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Zinc, Sodium and Coenzyme Q10. Products like Toprol, Coreg, Inderal, Corgard, Atenolol, Catapres or Aldomet can also deplete levels of Coenzyme Q10, and products that contain Apresoline that can deplete levels of Vitamin B6 as well as Coenzyme Q10.
