Organic Facial Cleansers Are Fast Becoming A Popular Way To Achieve Beauty Purification

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Perhaps you spend a lot of time taking advantage of today’s popular world of online shopping. Hey, what’s not to like? You don’t have to race for a parking space, there’s no two mile long lines to battle at the checkout and if you’re lucky, you might just save a buck. On the downside, if you have not made any recent trips to the local Super Mall of America, you may not know be familiar with the floral garden of skin care/beauty purification/make-up centers popping up all over the mall-leaving you desperately out of the loop.

Let’s get you up to speed. All of these establisment featured a different approach, but they are all united in their common goal to get to your skin. Skin care is one of the fastest growing divisions of the booming beauty industry and organic facial cleansers are becoming very popular.

Dangers of Skin Care Products

Let’s put it this way, people apply as many as 200 chemicals a day to the skin-and it isn’t by choice. Many skin care products contain cancer causing ingredients and other elements that can aggravate pre-existing skin conditions, like eczema and skin allergies. Sixty percent of those 200 chemicals enter the bloodstream.

The next time you’re in the bathroom and looking for something to read-use your imagination-pick up the lotion bottle. You’ll find that most contains lanolin. Lanolin derives from sheep’s wool, and sheep’s wool can be infested with pesticides - you do the math.

Then there are the fragrances and preservatives in skin care products, those can actually cause skin allergies. The problem with fragrances, preservatives and mainstream skin care is the fact that most are made by synthetic chemicals. If you aren’t acquainted with the concept of synthetic, just think synthetic. Companies aren’t required to list to the ingredients of fragrances.

If you think you’re skin care products may be causing skin allergies, be on the lookout for these symptoms:

Imflammed skin
Watery eyes
Nausea
Depression
Memory lapses

Just because popular culture has been flooded with images of mainstream skin care, does not mean that those are your only options. Actually, the quest to find a organic facial cleanser is safe and can take a dozen years off of your face.

Organic Skin Care

Think of organic skin care as plastic surgery in a bottle, or canister depending on the product. Organic facial cleansers eliminates toxins through a exfoliation process using the pores. Exfoliation is important because it keeps pores as an open window. See the pores are the exit route for the skin’s toxins. Now if that exit is closed those stubborn toxins will just sit there until you decide to open the door. The end result? Clogged pores.

That’s just one of the benefits of using an organic facial cleanser. In addition, following an organic skin care regime over time can get rid of wrinkles, breakouts and those double bags under your eyes, affectionately known as luggage. Organic skin care products, which consist of cosmetics, perfume and cleansers, are grown in locations with rich soil, and near lots of plants, flowers and oil, the kind of place you’d like to raise a family.

Organic skin care is just as versatile as another skin care line, just with some additional benefits, like olive oil, lavender and olive oil. A strong regime of organic skin care is currently available for all skin types:

Normal Skin: Smooth and without breakouts.
Dry: Needs lots of moisture.
Oliy: Clogged pores, shine and breakouts.
Sensative Skin: Prone to irritation

Protecting the skin is also important because of its various functions - blood, sweat, sebum and lymphs, for instance. Earth’s Essential Cream is an skin-care-super-guide.info/article-3-organic-facial-cleanser.html organic facial cleanser for men and women that, like other organic products, is on the forefront of beautiful innovation. Earth’s Essential creates radiance when used twice a day.

It may have something to do with the almond oil and organic aloe vera. Then again, organic skin care products are always made of the best stuff on Earth-just like Snapple.

Getting the Most Out of Your Solar Storm Tan Bed

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Intent on getting a tanning bed? A Solar Storm tan bed would be a good choice. The Solar Storm line has been tried and tested for quality. In fact, it is so widely patronized that it has become one of the leading tanning bed manufacturers in the United States.

But how do you get the most out of your Solar Storm tan bed? Here are a few tips for maximizing your time in your tanning bed.

1. Follow only the prescribed tanning routine. You may be tempted to spend a little more time in your tanning bed than your doctor or your personal trainer has recommended, thinking that you’ll get a darker tan in a shorter time. That’s just not how it works! Tanning is a gradual process, it’s slow and tedious for a good reason!

Darkening the skin naturally comes with extended exposure to the sun: a process the tanning bed seeks to reproduce. And in, fact, does efficiently reproduce! The stronger the light on your tanning bed, the more it resembles the light of the midday sun. Unfortunately, extended exposure to the midday sun is not at all healthy for the body. Health experts declare that the only “safe” time to expose oneself to the sun is before 10 AM. If you’re originally from a cold country, and you happen to be seeking a natural tan in a tropical region, you may wish to retire into shaded areas even earlier than 10 AM!

This is because overexposure to the sun means an increased risk of developing skin diseases - among the worst of which is melanoma, the most severe form of skin cancer. The best way to get a good tan is to set your timer only as your fitness trainer has told you!

2. Make sure to apply your tanning lotion evenly. An even tan requires an even layer of protection. Think of it as a liquid shield against the dangers of skin diseases. The stronger the light you expose yourself to, the stronger your lotion’s SPF level should be. And the stronger the light on your tanning bed, the more important it is to apply your protective lotion all over your body!

3. Make use of the multimedia functions. Tanning requires that you sit, stand or lay still - this could get boring! But not to fear: state of the art tanning beds come with stuff that will help you beat the boredom. A modern tan bed, even a Solar Storm tan bed, usually comes with at least a music player. This will keep you company while you enjoy your gradual tan.

Suntan-bed.com provides you with information on how to determine what the best suntan-bed.com/solar-storm-tan-bed-01.html solar storm tan bed are and where you can get your tanning bed supplies.

The Facts On Healthy Fats

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

With all the conflicting information out there today about what is healthy and what is not, I always turn to the Bible and search for the answers I’m seeking in God’s Word.

There are so many products available on the market today that boast being “heart healthy” which is low in fat. It is important to know that the Bible teaches there are healthy fats as well as unhealthy ones.

We can find 5 different kinds of fats mentioned in the Scripture, which are:

Butter. In the book of Genesis when the Lord appeared to Abraham in Mamre to tell Abraham and Sarah they would have a son, Abraham prepared a meal, which included butter.

“And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.” Genesis 18:8 (KJV) Butter which was made from cattle, goats or sheep was eaten freely. Of course due to farming practices today is it wise to choose butter that is organic to avoid antibiotics and hormones.

Fish Oils. Considering that our Lord Jesus gave fish to His disciples (John 21:13) we can be sure that the fat from the fish oils which occurs naturally in fish is allowed.

Olive Oil. II Kings 18:32 (KJV) says,” Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. “ Fats that occur naturally in plant food, such as olives are always in the liquid state and can be eaten of freely.

Poultry. Poultry is considered a lean and clean meat (Leviticus 11:13-23) and contains fat that occurs naturally and is also permitted. Again due to farming practices it is best to choose poultry meat that is from organic, free-range animals.

Red Meat. In Leviticus 7:23 God spoke to Moses saying, “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no matter of the fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.” Fat from domesticated red-meat animals such as cows is forbidden.

Essential Fatty Acids

Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are good fats that fall into two groups: Omega-3 and Omega-6 and are vital to proper hormone function and tissue development as well as good health. EFAs are also vital for cell membranes and are used to produce and store energy and are beneficial to the Nervous, Circulatory, Glandular and Immune systems.

An important fact to know about EFAs is they are not naturally produced within the body and must be obtained through foods that contain EFAs or through supplementation. Good sources of EFAs can be found in mynsp.com/natureforlife/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=1515″ target=”_blank Omega-3 Fish Oil, Flax Seed Oil, mynsp.com/natureforlife/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=1787″ target=”_blank Evening Primrose Oil and Black Currant Oil.

Due to the typical American diet, EFA deficiency is a common problem and is linked to serious health problems such as heart disease, cancer, depression, diabetes, stroke, ADHD, and Alzheimer’s to name a few. By supplementing your diet with a high quality Essential Fatty Acids supplement, you gain the healthy benefits.

According to Dr. Michael Jacobson in The Word on Health, Moody Press, p. 130, a number of studies have been shown that fish oils, which are related to omega-3 oils, have multiple beneficial effects, including:

prevention of heart dysrhythmias, especially ventricular fibrillation (the cause of death in approximately one-third of those who die from heart disease)

opposition of clotting, reducing the risk of heart attack

slowing down the growth of plaque in the arteries

promotion of the manufacture of natural nitroglycerin to keep the heart vessels open

lowering of plasma triglyceride fat levels

slowing down the production of “bad” cholesterol

lowering blood pressure

protection against colon cancer

How can you be sure you are getting enough healthy fats in your diet?

When choosing between butter or margarine – choose butter. Margarine contains trans fatty acids which are very detrimental to good health.

Adding raw seeds and nuts to your diet, which are a good source of essential fatty acids.

Make fish a regular part of your diet.

Choose lean meats like chicken and turkey. Be sure the meat you purchase is free of hormones and antibiotics.

Prepare foods using a healthy fat such as olive oil. It is important to note there is some disagreement on whether olive oil retains its healthy benefits once cooked at high temperatures.

Eat red meat, that is clean and lean, in moderation. It is typically recommended to only eat red meat once a week.

Take a high quality EFA supplement daily.

Cholesterol - Are Drugs the Answer to Proper Control?

Monday, September 29th, 2008

It’s simply common sense educate yourself on anything of topic of any significance and what’s more important than ones’ health. Therefore, before you make the decision to use any drug and for the purpose of this article we will be talking about cholesterol drugs also known as statin drugs, a little education can go a long way in helping one to make the right decision. So, let’s get started on Cholesterol Education 101.

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat like substance found in cells and the blood stream. Cholesterol is a crucial substance for the body because it assists the body in producing a number of hormones and some cell membrane. As a result, in order for our body to be healthy it needs cholesterol. At the same time, excessive cholesterol can lead to clogged arteries and is a contributing factory in coronary heart disease, which can lead to a heart attack.

Cholesterol is produced in the liver but we also accumulate it through the intake of various food products like butter, whole milk, egg yolks, cheese and poultry. In a nutshell, there are two types of cholesterol: low-density lipoprotein (LDL) which is considered bad cholesterol (i.e. only bad if it becomes excessive) and high-density cholesterol (HDL) which is considered the good cholesterol.

What the medical community has considered the optimal level of cholesterol has varied over the past 40 years but the most recent numbers indicate a maximum level of 200 mg/dL (i.e. milligrams per deci liter) for the LDL cholesterol (i.e. bad) and a minimum of 40mg/dL for the HDL or good cholesterol. And yes, the LDL levels are too low that can also lead to problems.

Although cholesterol is not calculated by body weight, if you are over weight you will increase you chances of having elevated bad (LDL) cholesterol level.

The number of cholesterol drugs currently available on the market is vast and before begin taking any cholesterol medication you really should consult your doctor.

Some cholesterol drugs can have serious side effects which, in the long run, may do more harm than good. Only your doctor can properly advise you on which statin or cholesterol drug may be best for you based on your medical history and present state of health.

Another reason why it’s so important to do your own research and only get medical advice from a trusted doctor is because you may have to take more than one kind of statin or cholesterol drug.

On the other hand, there have been studies that show elevated cholesterol levels have no effect on overall life expectancy and what is currently being touted as optimal cholesterol levels is much lower than it needs to be. The obvious question is why. Why have optimal cholesterol levels been lowered over the years?

Of course, this information is controversial but it needs to be mentioned because there are always two sides to every story. The vast majority of doctors are good people and they only want the best for their patients but the truth is they simply do not have the time to read every study on cholesterol. As a result, they simply go by what the drug companies tell them about a particular drug. The bottom line is this, it’s your health and before using any drug you need to do a little research (look for good and bad information) and then make an informed decision.

Diet And Hair Loss

Monday, September 29th, 2008

When looking at the subject of hair loss the importance of maintaining a healthy diet can never be over emphasised. This is one of the things which has been found to be absolutely essential.

There is no doubt that there are a number of factors which undeniably contribute to hair loss . But having said that it must also be acknowledged that hair on the human body is just one part of the entire biological system. In any system, there is bound to be the inevitable breakdown and one breakdown in the system can sometimes cause a breakdown in another part of the system. The human body’s biological system is no different. For anyone to remain in excellent health it is essential for a healthy diet to be maintained and this should always be coupled with an appropriate and regular exercise programme.

The definition of a healthy diet is a subject about which there has been numerous and ongoing debates over the ages. When it comes to the relationship between a healthy diet and the prevention of hair loss the same applies. There is a never-ending debate on the subject. There is general acceptance, however, that there are groups of minerals, vitamins and general nutrients, which are essential in order to maintain healthy hair.

The vitamins are A , B , C and E with emphasis on B-6 and B-12 , folic acid, biotin, copper, iron, zinc, iodine, protein, silica and essential fatty acids (EFA’s , formerly known as vitamin F.). One of the things which is overlooked by a great many people is the consumption of water. The actual amount of water to be consumed is also an open debate, but it is generally accepted that four to eight standard glasses per day is sufficient.

There is no doubt, the ideal method of obtaining the essential minerals vitamins and general nutrients is through the appropriate diet. Particular emphasis however, should be placed on the word ideal. Today, there is a school of thought, and it is one with which I happen to agree, that it is extremely difficult for the average person to obtain the necessary level of essential minerals vitamins and general nutrients through diet alone. The use of supplements to replace any shortcomings in a persons diet remains as what can best be described as a controversial subject. Personally, I have been taking various supplements for some years now and have always found them to be beneficial providing they are used sensibly and according to directions. Any doubts or inquiries regarding the use of supplements should be directed to your doctor.

One of the fundamental elements in developing and maintaining healthy cells and tissues in the body is vitamin A and this of course includes hair. Sebum provides vital lubrication to the hair follicle and is produced by the sebaceous glands. Vitamin A. together with silica and zinc work in conjunction in the prevention of drying and possible clogging of these glands, which are vital to the production of sebum.

If there are any deficiencies in vitamin A. it is quite common for this to cause dry hair, dandruff and possible thickening of the scalp. Some of the best natural sources for vitamin A. are dark green leafy vegetables, (for example spinach), liver, fish oil, eggs, and some red, yellow, and orange vegetables. On the contrary, some of the things which are known to inhibit vitamin A. are smoking, air pollution, laxatives, and aspirin. It is also thought that some cholesterol lowering drugs, may also inhibit vitamin A but this should of course be referred to your doctor.

Treating Diabetes The Natural Way

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Diabetes is one of the leading health debilitating health conditions in the world today. It can potentially affect almost every organ in the body, and over time, causing significant damage. Because of this, proper care is necessary in order to insure the body will have a fighting chance.

There are two types of Diabetes: Type I, which is usually onset since child hood and is otherwise known as Juvenile Diabetes, and Type II, the kind that comes on during adulthood. The effects of Type II usually aren’t as serious because it usually lasts for a shorter duration and is often experienced later in life. People with Type I. Diabetes usually must take insolence on a daily basis and are given a strict diet to uphold. Those with Type II may take insolence, but it is not always necessary to help maintain the body’s function. Instead, these patients are usually prescribed medication, and are only given insolence if that medication is not effective.

No matter what type of Diabetes is present, diet plays a big part in maintaining good health. A person with Diabetes should eat three solid meals a day. Also, it is strongly advisable to form an eating schedule and stick to it.

Eat a balanced diet. A well-balanced diet will help maintain sugar levels, and also give Diabetics the nutrients the body needs in order to stay healthy. Snacks are okay as long as they are within the specifications of the diabetic diet. If the sugar levels get to low, it may be necessary to eat something with sugar in it in order to bring them up. That is why it is advisable to always keep something on hand in case this should occur.

Exercise is another important factor. In addition to eating a balanced diet, diabetics should exercise regularly. This will not only help maintain overall health, but will also work along with the balanced diet to keep the sugar levels even.

The key to maintaining good health when living with Diabetes is following doctor’s orders. The proscribed insolence or medication, a balanced diet, exercise, and other specifics are there for a reason, and work best when used together. Periodic visits to a doctor and dietitian will most likely be advised, and should be adhered to in order to receive the best possible care. A healthier lifestyle leads to a healthier life.

The No FAT Lies Secret Psychology For Fat Loss Success - Part 4 b

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Part 4 continued…

The 7th, Monumental Habit of Action:

Drink 8 to 12, 8 ounce glasses of water a day, for 6 days each week

Results:

Your muscles are made up of 79 percent water, the rest of their contents being protein. When you’re constantly hydrating your body you’ll maintain your shape, while keeping an active… fat burning metabolism since your muscles are full of water. Not only that but your entire body will be running more efficiently since there is enough water to transport vital nutrients around to where your body needs them.

Do you know that before you even get thirsty you could be dehydrated and if you go that long or longer without drinking you’ll sure feel the difference! Can you think back to times when you’ve gone a half-day or more without water? You noticed the weaker feeling, your attitude changing; this is your body crying out for it and as the need goes up your energy and strength comes down. You’ve decided to feel and look better, so do the right thing and drink water!

Your 7th Empowering Decision:

“I’ll drink 8 to 12, 8 ounce glasses of water a day, for 6 days each week.”

Pleasurable result of making that empowering decision:

Painful consequence of not making or breaking that empowering decision:

Do you Agree or Disagree with the 7th empowering decision?

The 8th, Monumental Habit of Action:

To react in a healthier way to stressful situations

Results:

It’s important to react in a healthier way when dealing with stressful situations (psychological and physical trauma) so you’ll avoid unnecessary side effects such as a weakened immune system that can make you more susceptible to colds, coughs and infections. Also, there will be a lessened chance of developing arthritis and asthma due to stress as well.

Do you know that stress causes a hormone called Cortisol to be secreted from the pancreas inside your body? As a result it actually eats away at your muscles so your body can use the tissue for the energy that’s needed in greater supply during that stressful moment. That won’t help you to get shapely, will it? So, if you find it difficult to react in a healthier way to stress during the day and feel anxiety, a pitter-patter heart along with tightened muscles… then take control and stop it by changing your thoughts and behavior in a positive way!

Your 8th Empowering Decision:

“I’ll react in a healthier way to stressful situations.”

Pleasurable result of making that empowering decision:

Painful consequence of not making or breaking that empowering decision:

Do you Agree or Disagree with the 8th empowering decision?
(circle or type out your answer)

The 9th, Monumental Habit of Action:

To sleep for 7 to 9 hours a day, for 6 days each week

Results:

If you get 7 to 9 hours of sleep a day, for 6 days each week… you’ll feel more energized, alert and will improve your chances of maintaining a good mood (not saying that you’re usually in a bad mood since I personally don’t know you!). Do you know that if you aren’t getting enough sleep on a regular basis that it can cause you to store more body fat? Yes, it’s true!

Recent studies have proved that a lack of sleep may cause you to have an increased appetite for food during the day, which can lead to overeating and new body fat to follow. Additionally, sleep loss may elevate blood levels of glucose (a basic sugar that comes from the breakdown of carbohydrates). Excess glucose promotes the overproduction of insulin (a hormone that carries glucose and other nutrients to organs, muscles and body fat storage compartments), which can promote the storage of fat, and can also lead to insulin resistance, a critical feature of adult-onset diabetes. Not only that but a lack of sleep will also prolong any muscle soreness that you’ve encountered from weight training since your body regenerates itself during sleep.

Your 9th Empowering Decision:

“I’ll sleep for 7 to 9 hours a day, for 6 days each week.”

Pleasurable result of making that empowering decision:

Painful consequence of not making or breaking that empowering decision:

Do you Agree or Disagree with the 9th empowering decision?
(circle or type out your answer)

The 10th, Monumental Habit of Action:

Take 1 day off each week to eat naughty foods and give yourself a rest from exercise

Results:

By eating some of those sugary and fatty foods that you enjoy and taking a day off from your workouts, you’ll increase your motivation to get back to your active and healthy lifestyle the following day. It will be a reminder for you as to why you’ve switched to this new lifestyle. Not only that but it’s a break from the routine and allows for flexibility as well.

Your 10th Empowering Decision:

“I’ll take 1 day off each week to eat naughty foods and give myself a rest from exercise.”

Pleasurable result of making that empowering decision:

Painful consequence of not making or breaking that empowering decision:

If you didn’t use the 2nd half of part 3 within this article series… then move ahead to part 5, reading through the following if you wish.

A Tip From Rich: To participate in the following assignment, simply print off this article then write down your answers on a separate piece of paper, or type them out inside a text file as you go

Question 1: Go back to the blank canvass that’s inside the picture gallery of your mind once again and paint a new picture of a productive behavior (one of the monumental habits of action) that you’ve already decided to adopt as a result of feeling positive towards the altered unhealthy belief (I’m overweight at this time yet not for long!) about your body. Make sure that you can see the painting clearly inside your mind before explaining in your own words how you’re behaving when drawing the picture on a separate piece of paper.

Example of an altered unhealthy belief: I’m overweight at this time yet not for long!

Example of a productive behavior: I’m excited and motivated to lose all of my stubborn fat for life! Due to this I’m going to perform 3, 20 minute cardiovascular workouts each week using the Cardio-Burn workout plan that’s found inside ‘No FAT Lies: The Absolute TRUTH on How to Lose Stubborn Fat for Life’.

Example of how I’d paint a picture of that behavior: Since I’m going to focus on behaving this way on a regular basis, I’m definitely going to use the same large canvass so the painting feels close to me. The colors that I use to paint myself will be full of life and the background will be sunny and bright, which expresses my positive feelings. My paint strokes will be fast paced since I feel energetic. I’ll be wearing my workout clothes as I’m power walking on a treadmill inside the gym. There is going to be a smile on my face and a look of determination!

The productive behavior:

The painting (draw your picture on a separate piece of paper):

If you ever find yourself feeling negative about the way you look in the future and are tempted to behave in any unproductive fashion, then you must take control. Once again, yell out “SPLASH!” and destroy the old painting of the unproductive behavior that you envisioned and thought about resorting to. Use the power of your mind to change the interpretation of the image, sounds or feelings that you’re expressing to yourself from a negative to a positive.

Immediately afterwards, create a new painting that displays a more productive behavior that’s linked to your new positive feelings and act it out. Repeat this technique as many times as needed making sure to remind yourself of the painful consequence that you’ll experience for once again adopting that unproductive behavior. In exchange, think about the many ways in which you’ll be rewarded by sticking to your productive behavior!

Awesome! You’ve now made your empowering decisions of action that will soon become habits of your own and understand the expected results, while also knowing the consequences if you break them. Though, I must warn you that life does have it’s unexpected moments! As humans we do get temptations and urges. Other highly emotional moments can come up as well. This can make it difficult to stick with one or all of those decisions to behave in a productive way even after those behaviors have become a habit.

When confronted by these unexpected situations, your mind automatically searches for a way to fulfill your body’s need to become satisfied and content. It’s possible to fulfill your body’s needs and remain glued to your empowering decisions without resorting to your old and unproductive behaviors. That topic will be covered in part 6 of this ‘No FAT Lies secret psychology for fat loss success’ series.

But first we must take a step back… as within the next article you’ll take the empowering decisions that you’ve already made and learn how to do everything in your power to avoid procrastination by performing…

You’re Only Cheating Yourself - The Basics Of Efficient Training

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

One of my pet hates at the gym is inefficient training. Weight resistance training is the most effective way to strengthen and grow muscle mass when done right, but the fact of the matter is that many people waste years of training by not doing the exercises properly. Training to get the prefect physique isn’t only about working hard. The key to getting that well defined body is to train smart.

Before training you should always warm up. Warming up helps to prepare the body for the extra load and strain put on it, as well as reduces the risk of injury such as strains and sprains. Warming up can be done one of two ways. The first is to increase the heart to 60% of your maximum heart rate through aerobic training. The second is to lifting moderately light weight through full range motions to increase blood flow to a specific muscle group.

You are then ready to pump that iron to achieve that perfect Arnie look. But this is where you see a lot of the mistakes. There are big guys (filled with steroids) lifting big weights but only doing half an exercise. By this I mean throwing the weight up and down, arching their back to get extra power, jerking their movements and not extending through the full range of motion. By doing this you are not only setting yourself up for injury but inhibiting muscle growth.

Every one at the gym wants to give their two cents worth about what is the best way to train. But this is by far some of the best information that you should listen to. When doing an exercise make sure you do a slow controlled full range motion and concentrate on the muscle that you are training. For instance when you are doing bicep curls, each rep should take at least 4 seconds, 2 second in the upwards movement and 2 in the downward motion. On the downward movement extend to the point just before your elbows lock so the muscle is still under full tension at all times, yet the bicep is stretched in its full range of motion. On the upward motion pull the weight up to the position at which the bicep is at completely contracted while concentrating on isolating the bicep muscle. Doing this movement is the only way to stimulate each muscle fiber in the bicep which will help muscle growth.

It is easy to start training inefficiently with all the pressures of the gym. Competing with other people training, trying to lift more weight to get a lot bigger. But do yourself a favor, lift lighter weight but train efficiently. Soon you will bigger and stronger than the people that train inefficiently. Start training with proper technique from the start because it is easier to learn something new than correct bad habits.

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Introduction

The “Fountain of Youth” is still more myth than reality, but scientist say they’re getting closer to understanding the secrets of the aging process that have eluded us for ages. While the dreams of always being young may still be years away, the dream of looking and feeling younger is here today.

Americans spend more than $1 Billion Dollars per year on anti-aging products, and the demand for anti-aging supplements and a variety of other products to help Baby Boomers live longer, healthier lives is growing rapidly as Boomers reach retirement age and beyond.

Baby Boomers for many years have searched for the ‘elixir of youth’ per say, pursued by those wishing to stay looking young and avoid the ravages of old age for as long as possible.

Premature ageing and degenerative disease are often the result of bad eating habits, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking and environmental factors such as exposure to pollution, resulting in premature illness.

Experts on aging agree, there are positive steps you can take to make your “golden years” healthier and more enjoyable. And, they might just add as much as a decade or more to your life. To do this you need to eliminate all or most of the 7 destructive habits from your current lifestyle such as…
