			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Symptoms of kidney problems generally develop over a period of years.  As you know, our kidneys perform many vital functions that help maintain overall health. But if the blood vessels in the kidneys are damaged, the kidneys will not clean the blood properly and symptoms of kidney problems will develop.  With impaired kidney function, the body retains more water and salt than it should, leading to weight gain.</p>
<p>Early kidney disease has no kidney problem symptoms, however, it can become kidney failure with little or no warning if left undetected.  Kidney disease results from damage to the nephrons which are tiny structures inside the kidneys that filter blood.</p>
<p>Here are common symptoms of kidney problems:</p>
<p>•  Swelling around the face, eyes, feet and ankles<BR><br />
•  Pain or a burning sensation during urination<BR><br />
•  Fever<BR><br />
•  Need to urinate more frequently<BR><br />
•  Problems controlling urination<BR><br />
•  Blood in the urine</p>
<p>Of course, the symptoms of kidney problems above can be experienced due to other health conditions, so seeing your health care provider is advised.</p>
<p>A kidney condition called nephrotoxicity occurs when the body is exposed to a toxin or drug that damages the kidneys. When kidney damage happens, you cannot rid your body of excess urine and wastes.  Blood electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium become elevated and creatinine levels in the blood will also be elevated.  Nephrotoxicity can be temporary due to dehydration or you may be developing kidney failure.</p>
<p>What causes kidney failure?  Diabetes and high blood pressure are two main causes of kidney failure.  Many people know that they have these diseases, but they may not know that they are at risk for kidney disease.  Usually the damage happens gradually over years and in both kidneys.  Since there may not be obvious symptoms of kidney problems, you&#8217;re not aware it&#8217;s happening.</p>
<p>In diabetes, the body doesn&#8217;t use glucose very well.  If you have diabetes, you can prevent kidney disease by keeping your blood sugar levels under control.   High blood pressure can damage the small blood vessels in your kidneys. When this happens, your kidneys cannot filter wastes from your blood very well, so healthy blood pressure levels are important for kidney health.</p>

<p><b>Daily Metabolism = Daily Budget</b></p>
<p>Your daily metabolism is the amount of calories you are allowed to consume each day without gaining weight. For the average female, the typical daily metabolism is 2000 calories a day. For a male, the typical daily metabolism rises to 2500 calories a day.</p>
<p>It may be useful to think of your metabolism as your daily budget. It is the amount of money you are allowed to spend each day. If you go over this amount, you’ll have to borrow money and go into debt. If you spend less than your budget, then you will have money to save for purchases (eating food) or payment toward any existing debt (excess body fat).</p>
<p><b>Calories Consumed  = Money Spent</b></p>
<p>Calories represent the amount of energy that is contained in food. The more calories that you consume over your daily metabolism, the more weight you will gain.</p>
<p>In our comparison, we can visualize calories as the equivalent of money. Each time you consume calories, you are spending money from your daily budget (metabolism). So the primary goal is to not overspend more than you are allowed each day, otherwise, you will go into debt (gain weight).</p>
<p><b>Your Excess Fat = Your Debt</b></p>
<p>The excess fat that you have is the result of overeating, consuming more calories than your daily metabolism has allowed.</p>
<p>There is approximately 3500 calories in a pound of excess fat. What this means is that if you are 50 pounds over weight, you have essentially consumed the equivalent of  175,000 calories over the amount you were allowed by your daily metabolism (over an extended period of time). As a result, you have created a debt of 175,000 calories of fat on your body (50 pounds x 3500 calories = 175,000)</p>
<p>The only way to get rid of this debt is to either decrease your spending to less than your daily budget (consume less calories than your daily metabolism)…or…to get a job and earn more income (exercise).</p>
<p><b>Eating Food = Making a Purchase</b></p>
<p>The more you eat, the more calories you consume.</p>
<p>In many ways, this is the equivalent of making a purchase. You do not want to spend more than what your daily budget (metabolism) will allow. Otherwise you will begin to accrue a debt (gain weight).</p>
<p><b>Not Eating Food = Earning Money</b></p>
<p>Each hour that you spend not eating, your body is hard at work burning the calories that you consumed from your previous meal. When your body finishes consuming the calories from that food, it then gets to work on burning the calories from the existing fat that you have on your body.</p>
<p>One way to picture this is that each hour you spend not eating, you are earning money for the purchases that you made earlier in the day (food consumed). If you’ve paid off all your purchases from the day, then you can begin paying off your debt (your excess fat).</p>
<p><b>Exercise = Earning Money</b></p>
<p>Exercise is the most important aspect of any diet. It is like earning extra money to spend each day. It allows you to spend more money on making purchases (eating food) or you can use the extra money to pay off your existing debt (your excess fat that you are trying to lose).</p>
<p>This is why exercise is such a marvelous supplement to any diet. It allows you more freedom, because you have more to spend.</p>
<p>There are dozens of other similarities in losing weight with balancing a budget; however, these are the fundamental elements to focus on. The real challenge now is applying the discipline that’s necessary to monitor your weight and make sure you don’t over spend the calories that you are allowed each day.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s possible to save vast amounts of money if you give up smoking. An average 20 a day smoker will spend approximately $3000 a year on cigarettes. Just putting that in an interest bearing bank account would allow you to build up a tidy sum over 20 years. Even with a modest rate of interest it would amount to more than $100,000.</p>
<p>However, there a various other savings that when taken into account will add up to substantially more over the years.</p>
<p><b>1)</b> Being a smoker means that you&#8217;ll have less money each month to repay your mortgage. This means that you&#8217;ll take longer to repay the debt than you might have done, which means you&#8217;ll have more interest to pay over the life of the loan.</p>
<p>Recent studies have shown that if the average smoker (20 a day) with an average mortgage of $200,000 used the money that they spend on tobacco to repay their mortage, they would repay the loan 8 years early (17 years rather than 25) and save almost $50,000 in interest repayments.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s quite an incentive to stop smoking.</p>
<p><b>2)</b> Being a smoker means that the cost of your insurance rises dramatically. Smokers have to pay substantially more for health, life and house insurance.</p>
<p>If you smoke, you&#8217;re much more likely to develop a whole catalogue of illnesses and health problems, which means your insurance company will have to pay out more money, more often. So they&#8217;ll need more money to cover the risk.</p>
<p>If you smoke, you&#8217;re more likely to die early, which means the life insurance company is more likely to have to pay out. All that is bad news for the size of your premiums, which can be as much as 50% higher than a non-smoker of similar age. This is a major consideration if you need life insurance to obtain a mortgage or to protect your family.</p>
<p>The cost of your house insurance will also reflect the fact that you smoke, because you&#8217;re house is more likely to go on fire than a non-smokers house.</p>
<p><b>3)</b> Being a smoker will decrease the value of your house and your car.</p>
<p>If you regularly smoke in your house or in your car, it will quickly become full of the stale smell of smoke. And it&#8217;s almost impossible to remove that smell completely.</p>
<p>So when it comes time to sell your house or your car, many non-smokers will not be prepared to buy these items. That means the number of potential buyers is dramatically reduced along with the eventual sale price.</p>
<p>It may be possible to reduce the impact that smoking has on your house if you redecorate regularly, or on your car if you have it professionally cleaned on a regular basis. But over time these expenses will add up and cancel out any corresponding increase in the price that you get for your house or your car.</p>

<p><b>c)</b> Their health insurance premiums are higher, which is a major consideration when the employer is footing the bill</p>
<p><b>5)</b> Being a smoker will cost you more to keep yourself looking smart. Your clothes will have to be washed more often and certain items of clothing will have to be professionally cleaned. All that means that they&#8217;ll wear out faster, so you&#8217;ll have to buy more clothes. This isn&#8217;t too much of an ordeal for most people, but hey, it&#8217;s an added expense that you wouldn&#8217;t have if you didn&#8217;t smoke.</p>
<p>Smoking also affects your teeth and your breath. So add in extra dental costs, and breath freshing products.</p>
<p>All these extra expenses quickly mount up and over thirty or forty years the extra cost of being an average smoker could, quite easily (if invested), add up to $500,000. That&#8217;s a fairly substantially retirement lump sum. And one that you&#8217;ll have more chance of enjoying if you take steps to stop smoking.</p>

Usually, carrier oils give lubrication that assists hand to move properly on the skin while massaging. At the same time, carrying the essentials oils onto the skin is another function of these oils. Due to this role, these are called as carrier oils. These oils are light, non-sticky and having very little scent. Most of the carrier oils are extracted from nuts and seeds, though some exceptions are there, such as, coconut oils, jojoba oils etc.</p>
<p>A common belief is often noticed among people that they think carrier oils are less important in comparison of essentials oils. Such kinds of thoughts are not at all acceptable. The role of carrier oils is not inescapable in order to make a healthy and fit body.</p>
<p>Carrier oils contain vitamins, minerals and some essentials fatty acids. For making skins soft and better, many of these oils are used. Besides, some carrier oils are used to heal various skin problems, like eczema, wrinkles, scar tissue etc. Remember, these oils cover 98% treatment in aromatherapy.</p>
<p>Generally, while extracting these oils from nuts and seeds, two methods are followed. These are like, cold pressing and hot extraction. Some carrier oils, like, Avocado, Coconut and Wheat germ are available both in refined and unrefined forms. It is advisable to use the unrefined forms of these oils. The unrefined form of Avocado oil is enriched with lecithin and Vitamin A and D. On the other hand, unrefined Wheat germ oils contain essential fatty acids and a bit of Vitamin E. Unrefined avocado and wheat germ are perfect for overnight treatment, but since these two are heavy, so body massage may not be possible with these oils.</p>
<p>Carrier oils, however, are chosen as per the needs of persons. In case of body massage and facial treatments, sweet almond, peach and apricot oils are normally used. Black Seed, borage, evening primrose, jojoba, rosehip oils are also good for facial treatments, but dilution is required if these oils are used for body massage. Many a time, people have the problem of nut allergy reactions, in such cases; they can opt for sunflower oil.</p>
<p>And last but not the least; avoid using oil in under-eye area during the facial treatment. You need not use much oil, take a little and it will make your skin smooth and shiny.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Experiencing frequent headaches can take a great toll on a person&#8217;s life. For instance, even minor headaches can be a distraction that lowers your ability to function on a day-to-day basis. More severe headaches may entirely immobilize you for hours or days at a time. Obviously, if headaches of this magnitude occur consistently, the lapses that they cause in your work and even in your social life can be frustrating, and put your job or relationships at risk.</p>
<p>In addition to the pain itself, frequent headaches can have a profound psychological effect on a person. There may be reactions of fear for a number of reasons, such as fearing that there is a deeper problem that these headaches are symptomatic of. Even the times when you have no headache at all may be ruined by fear of the next headache. Furthermore, the continued persistence of headaches can wear you down, and feelings of depression may result. In extreme cases, the inescapable nature of the pain may even cause a person to contemplate suicide.</p>
<p>These frequent headaches are obviously a problem that must be dealt with. The trick with headaches, though, is that it can sometimes be rather difficult to figure out what type of headache you are having, as each type of headache may have different causes and different treatments. As such, the first thing you should do is to nail down what type of headache you are experiencing. To accomplish this, you should look at the headache itself, as well as the circumstances surrounding it.</p>
<p>The best way to get a handle on what might be causing frequent headaches is to keep a headache diary of sorts. This can be a simple notebook, a daily planner, or whatever system works best for you. Whenever you experience a headache, write down in your planner the date, the time the headache begins, and the time it ends. You should also write down characteristics of the headache, for instance the intensity and location of the pain, and whether or not things around you such as bright lights or loud sounds seemed to affect the pain. Also, take note of circumstances that might be triggers for your headaches, such as stressful situations, or the consumption of alcohol.</p>
<p>Over time, your headache diary will allow you to get an idea of what is causing your headaches, or at least what type of headache you are having. Most frequent headaches are tension headaches, which are usually triggered by every day sorts of situations, such as increased stress or strain on the eyes. The pain from these headaches is usually mild, and easily treated. If the pain of your headaches is sharper, and the circumstances of your headaches do not match a tension headache, you may be having migraine headaches. These two have triggers that you can look out for to determine the cause. A small percentage of frequent headaches are what are called cluster headaches, and some cases are caused by other problems, such as neurological problems in the brain. In either of these cases, or if you are unable to control the pain of a migraine or tension headache, a doctor should be consulted.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When you hit bottom what do you do?  This is a very important question, especially for those who have.  What happens when your life falls apart?  What happens when all of your friends and family seem to betray you for something you haven’t done?  Or because you have done something right?  This happens, and has happened probably since the beginning of time.</p>
<p>Every great human being that we can think of, and I don’t mean actors or sports figures, who have done something to make the world better have been persecuted.  Everyone never agrees with a person who stands out and changes things.  People like Ghandi, Jesus, Paul Robeson, Mother Jones, and many others were often persecuted by their contemporaries.  We then hear about them and their lives and it sounds as if their lives were easy and glamorous.  The truth is, however, that their lives weren’t.  They were very hard.  That is why it is important to learn how most of them dealt with stress and persecution before we decide to live you own lives fully.  If we can learn what they did, we too can accomplish great things without having to worry about compromising our deeply held core beliefs.  We can deal with the stress.</p>
<p>The first step in following one’s bliss is to find out what our core beliefs are.  Our core beliefs are associated with, not necessarily the same as, what gives us our bliss.  What gives you your bliss?  What is it that you’re doing, or would like to do, that makes you feel alive?  All of the great people that I have referred to earlier didn’t buckle or fall under horrendous persecution because they found their bliss and were doing it.  There bliss was aligned with their core beliefs about themselves and the way the universe works. I think that it is time for all of us to also find our bliss: one that is aligned with the way that we know the world is in our hearts.</p>
<p>When we work at finding our bliss, and then trying to do whatever it is, we will be like the great people.  We will have the strength to make it through the hard times and the lowest, darkest moments, so we can continue to reach for the heights.  Firstly, however, if we don’t know what it is that gives us our bliss we have to find it.  Secondly, we have to begin to do it.</p>
<p>We have to do what makes us happy, if it is legal, healthy, and contributing something to the world and our community even if we don’t get paid very much, or not at all.  Even if we try to perform some kind of art and we are  not good at it, we must continue if it is our bliss.  We must keep doing it, until we get good at it.  When we stop and give up we will convince ourselves that we are not in control of our own lives and we will die on the inside.</p>
<p>If you have found your bliss and you are not doing what makes it real in your life, it’s time for you to start.  This is applied theology and spirituality.  Sit down, make a plan, prepare yourself to be chastised.  Be ready for someone that you love to put you down, or try to turn you away from your goal.  As sure as day follows night this discouragement will come just as it came to those people who worked to make the human condition better and got persecuted.  Isn’t it strange to think that one can be chastised and discouraged for following one’s bliss by friends and family, until some outsider recognizes the quality of what you are doing, or until you can make some money doing it?</p>
<p>This is a very strange thing.  We often get support after we don’t need it.  That is why it is important to begin to support your self.  Hold on to your dream.  Meditate, stretch, do exercises, study, do whatever it is necessary to stay strong so you can persevere.  If you want to make some type of contribution to the world, you must be diligent and consistent,  doing your work little by little, moving forward step by step carefully and not carelessly, and finding joy in the process, the very act of becoming better and better, instead of in the outcome.  If you can do this, you will attain your goals and  your dreams.  You will not have experiences where you feel that you have lost everything, because you will be aware that there is something inside of you, a loving and powerful spirit, that is connected to everything all around you.  In the midst of the darkness the light of the universe will shine forth, and that light will be you, my friend—the awakened human spirit where God and humanity meet.</p>
<p>You will also realize, as you work and are being yourself for the first time, that some people actually like you and your authenticity.  These people will be your friends and your family—your true friends and family  Until you find them, however, it is necessary for you to keep your stress level down.  Bad health comes from too much stress.  Do some type of meditation, develop a spiritual life, and stay healthy.  If you can do these three things for health maintenance, and you refuse to stop following your bliss even if you think you are failing, you will have overcome the world.  You will have succeeded already in life.  For the living of one’s life, and contributing in some unique way to the world, is the calling of every human being.  As you do what you are called to do and you feel fulfilled in life, you are changing yourself and the world, and living the way we were all meant to live.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are many people that suffer with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but most are not aware that they qualify to get disability for their illness.  Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Disability (CFSD) can be a very debilitating condition and can render one incapacitated.  In fact, many people are so incapacitated that they are unable to carry on with their daily lives (including working and supporting themselves and their families). With this in mind, filing for and receiving disability may be one’s only option.</p>
<p>The problem, however, is that filing for disability can be a tiring and frustrating experience, and it may take a long time to get approved.  Sometimes it can take up to three tries to get your disability approved.  This is because many people don’t consider CFS a real illness. Those who suffer from it, however, most surely know that it is! With this in mind, many people give up after the first rejection, but one rejection is no reason to throw in the towel.</p>
<p>If you’re considering applying, one of the key things that you need to do is make sure that your illness prevents you from making over $900 a month and that your condition is so severe that it prevents you from engaging in normal activities. In addition, you’ll need to have everything documented to ensure that there are no gaps in your paperwork.  This includes signed document statements as well as medical treatments, employment logs, etc. Put all this information together and be ready to defend your case.</p>
<p>Also, you must have persistence and don’t ever give up if you are first told that you do not have a case.  You have to keep in mind that just because not everyone understands the debilitating effects of CFS doesn’t mean that your illness doesn’t exist. People who review your case are paid to ensure that no one files false claims, so they will put you through the ringer.  They typically look for reasons to deny your case. It is up to you to provide them with reasons they should approve it. Therefore, if you are first told “no,” it doesn’t necessarily mean “no”. It just means that you have to try harder and be more diligent with your reapplication.</p>
<p>The key to trying harder is determining why you were denied and working with your physician or health care professional to provide additional information to prove your illness.  Most of the paperwork is really trial and error, so to speak.  You do not know exactly what they are looking for until you submit your paperwork.  However, if you submit as much evidence as you can, your chances of being approved become much higher.</p>
<p>My best advice is to talk with your doctor about the whole situation, preferably one who has had patients that have been approved for CFS disability in the past.  After all, they are most familiar with filing papers for disability, so they generally know what is needed.  Then, be fastidious in your medical records as they will look for good documentation on your condition and why it is considered debilitating.  Why can’t you work? How long will you be unable to work? What compensation are you looking for?  These are just a few questions that you will be up against.</p>
<p>Successful cases are based on the severity of your condition, so the more your doctor puts it in writing the better off your chances of approval.  In some instances, you may find that you need to hire a good attorney to represent your case. Many firms offer free consultation and charge you nothing if the case is lost. Shop around to see who has the best reputation for cases won and make sure that they aren’t just out for the share of money they will get from winning the case.  Talk with your doctor as they usually have a good idea of what you are up against and how you need to approach the situation.</p>
